In 2025, COMPASS for Communities expanded its outreach efforts to Novo Airão, a municipality in the Rio Negro Sustainable Development Reserve, where we partnered with a local clinic to provide vision screenings, glucose testing, and hypertension assessments. The organization also distributed reading glasses and sunglasses to community members in need, increasing access to both preventative care and essential vision resources. In addition to this expansion, COMPASS for Communities continued its ongoing commitment to the riverside communities visited in 2024, returning to provide follow-up care and sustained long-term community health initiatives.
