What We Did in 2026
In 2026, COMPASS for Communities expanded its work by traveling to the remote indigenous community of Mirituba, over two hours by boat. There, we partnered with community members to provide medical care and distribute donations. With no running water or electricity, Mirituba presented a new environment that required us to adapt our approach while broadening our understanding of different ways of living. In addition, we returned to the three communites we visited in 2024, Tiririca, Aracari, and St. Antonio, allowing us to continue existing projects, assess the long-term impact of our work, and adapt our efforts based on each community's evolving needs.
